Arthur L.A. Buckner is a drummer extraordinaire, performing musician, teaching artist, and producer from the Northside of Minneapolis. He holds a Master's Degree in Percussion Performance from McNally Smith College of Music. Over the last 4 years, L.A. Buckner & Big Homie have released two critically acclaimed albums, and have performed to sold out audiences in venues across the country.

In August 2020, L.A. took iTunes by storm with the release of his debut album BiG HOMiE, which reached #1 on the Jazz chart within 24 hours of its release.

In October 2024, L.A. released his 2nd album entitled NORFSIDE. NORFSIDE brings his musical vision full circle, back to his roots. The new album pays homage to the community and the music he grew up with, as well as so many other "Norfside" musicians that blazed a trail for him to follow. Produced by L.A. and the band, mixed by Jesse Ray Ernster, and mastered by the legendary Herb Powers, the new album is a step ahead from the previous album, musically and sonically, and takes the band to a variety of new destinations.

L.A. Buckner & Big Homie are currently in the studio working on new tracks for release in early 2026, and then will embark on a Nationwide tour.
